About Us Carmel Clay Elementary Schools, in compliance with the Indiana Department of Education’s and school corporations’ Standard for Latch Key Programs, provides on-site before and after school care available to all of their students. In March 2006, a selection committee recommended Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation as the new provider for before and after school care for all 11 Carmel Clay Elementary Schools, based on the Department's high level of commitment, quality programming and community presence. The program, called Extended School Enrichment (ESE), is founded on the belief that each and every student is capable of being successful. Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation is committed to setting high expectations and assuring the development of a strong foundation in basic life skills for Carmel Clay Elementary School students.
Since Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation took over Carmel Clay Schools’ before and after school program at the beginning of the 2006/2007 school year, nearly 1,000 students have enrolled in ESE and Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation has hired 100 full and part time employees to oversee the program.
2010-2011 Rates/Registration Registration begins July 1, 2010. Registration fee is $30.
