Park Rules

Park Safety
Help make our greenspaces an enjoyable experience for everyone by observing the following guidelines:

  • Parks are open 30 minutes before sunrise and close 30 minutes after sunset, seven days a week
  • The Monon Greenway is open sunrise to sunset, seven days a week
  • On greenways and trails keep right; pass on the left; communicate before passing
    Skaters yield to pedestrians; bikers yield to everyone
  • Everyone yield to vehicles at intersections. Vehicles have right-of-way
  • Always be considerate of other park users
  • Keep pets on short leashes and clean up after them
  • Dispose of litter in provided receptacles
  • Look both ways and cross streets, drives and parking lots with extreme care
  • Do not disturb animals or vegetation in the parks
  • Report any unsafe conditions to 317.848.7275
  • In an emergency, call 911

Shelter Reservation Request
To request a shelter reservation, please download, complete and send in the 
Park Shelter Reservation Request Form. Please call Michelle Compton at 317.843.3873 or email shelters@carmelclayparks.com with shelter reservation questions. Request of facilities or equipment does not guarantee availability of use. There may be an additional fee for use of Department facilities or equipment. Shelters available for rent include:

$25/day for one silo
$40/day for two silos
$50/day for three silos.

 
* All rental rates are subject to Indiana sales tax; sales tax is not included in the prices listed above.
