Respect, Integrity, Caring, Harmony, Excellence, and Responsibility are the characteristics you must have if you want to be a leader in the real world or a Junior Counselor at ESE. Third, fourth, and fifth grade students had an opportunity to participate in the Junior Counselor club at Carmel Elementary in order to become Junior Counselors for afterschool. Students in this club did various team-building exercises and were monitored by the staff during the program day in order to become Junior Counselors for the remainder of the school year.
Junior Counselors play an important role in our program. They are entrusted to help with Kindergarten homework by reading and playing enrichment games with the students. Junior Counselors are relied upon for toy ideas and running the E-Market. They also help us with planning the enrichment clubs, field trips, and site celebrations that we host. In general, Junior Counselors serve as a liaison between the students and the staff of the ESE program.
We are proud to announce that our Junior Counselors for the remainder of the school year are: Tsion Mola, Meenakshi Sunilkumar, Cally Sharp, Addie Stein, Justin May, Alexis McGee, Michaela Hylton, Emily Archer, Ashley Elkin, Jacob Pilkenton, Jillian Cox, and Jake Stock. Congratulations!
