At College Wood Elementary, Beaders Club is the most popular club for these eight weeks. Both boys and girls like to participate in Beaders Club. Each week, the students use a template of their choice to create an animal, flags, flowers or something from their imagination. Many of the boys used the circle template to create a Poke’ball with white, black, and red beads, while many of the girls used the heart with many different colors. Beaders Club has given students the opportunity to use concentration, patience, and creativity to create all kinds of interesting and fun objects.

At College Wood Elementary, NFL is a great sport for the children especially with it being football season. This is a sport that is favored highly by the male students here at College Wood, but there are, on occasion, female participants. This club gives the students the opportunity to act out their favorite professional football player aspirations. This club is not just a sport for the kids, but it is a learning opportunity for them to develop other essential skills for life. The students learn how to work cohesively as a group, how to respect one another, and how to strive in an environment where everyone is working towards a common goal.
