College Wood Elementary

Site Supervisor
Joelle Ogle, ESE Site Supervisor at College Wood Elementary, received a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Ball State University. After graduating from college, Miss Ogle moved to Nashville, TN where she was a nanny for two young boys. After relocating back to Indianapolis, she began working for the well known non-for-profit, Easter Seals Crossroads, where she assisted adults with disabilities in finding and maintaining employment.

Assistant Site Supervisor
Charles Iman, ESE Assistant Site Supervisor at College Wood Elementary, worked as a Chief Deputy Juvenile Officer, Director of Detention and as a Child Abuse and Neglect Investigator prior to working at College Wood. He received his B.S. degree in Criminal Justice.

Goodbye Mr. Groce!

Mr. Groce was one of the best counselors at College Wood and we are really going to miss him -- his last day at ESE was on Friday, February 26th. Mr. Groce made ESE such a fun place to hang out. Our favorite thing to do with Mr. Groce was to play sports with him – especially football! He was the best at playing quarterback. We also really enjoyed helping Mr. Groce with snack time. We are very sad to see Mr. Groce leave but we look forward to him coming back to visit us soon!

Fiesta Fun Night at College Wood

On Thursday April 1st, College Wood Elementary will host a Fiesta Fun Night during our regular ESE program. We welcome all ESE students to join us that day along with their parents for a day full of fun, food, and dancing. Students will be able to create their own nachos at our ESE nacho bar and then enjoy DJ Mark for a dance party in the gym. We will also have a candy bar set up for the students so they can put together their own goody bags before they leave the party. We hope you’ll join us for the fun! Please RSVP to Joelle Ogle at jogle@carmelclayparks.com if you [parents] plan to attend so we’re sure to have enough food.

*Please note this is the day before spring break so if your child will not be here, please let us know!
