Fantasy Basketball,
Smoky Row Style

As the National Basketball Association (NBA) season moves into the later part of the season, ESE students are gearing up for fantasy basketball, Smoky Row Style. Over the next eight weeks, students from kindergarten through fifth grade will step into the role of general managers of their own basketball franchises. Much like the professional world of sports, the playing field must be balanced in order to operate a fair and exciting league.

ESE & PTO Worlds
Come Together

The Forest Dale ESE program, in conjunction with the school’s PTO, hosted a night around the world with their first International Festival, Friday, February 16th. In the gym, 15 countries set up booths filled with music, food, information and activities for the children. Upon entering the gym, guests were issued passports to use as they enjoyed a brief stay in each country, learning, eating and interacting with the natives.

Trumping Towers

Students at Towne Meadow did a fantastic job with the latest enrichment club, the Donald Trump Club. ESE Students were asked to build their very own mini-model of a famous historical building out of cardboard boxes. Mrs. Inger, club facilitator, challenged students to think about the construction of their building, and not solely on the height. This was no easy task for our eager students.
