Students at Towne Meadow did a fantastic job with the latest enrichment club, the Donald Trump Club. ESE students were asked to build their very own mini-model of a famous historical building out of cardboard boxes. Mrs. Inger, club facilitator, challenged students to think about the construction of their building, and not solely on the height. This was no easy task for our eager students. The Towne Meadow students pushed to make their building the tallest of the group, but Mrs. Inger patiently explained how the base of the building was the most important aspect of the entire structure. For weeks, students spent their time cutting and taping plain cardboard together to make beautiful buildings. In the end, most of our Donald Trump Club buildings stood taller than our students!

“This club was a blast to have each week and I truly appreciate each student's and Mrs. Inger's hard work in making this club such a success!” said site coordinator, Katie Hopkins.

The last aspect of the project included the final touch of painting and naming their buildings. Everyone’s favorite name was a building called The Peace Tower. The names were placed on hand-made flags and flown at the top of each student’s tower. The best part of the entire process was watching the students work through the intricate details they put into the design of their buildings. Some planted flowers behind their buildings and others placed benches for workers to sit on when they had their afternoon break.
