A Whole New World

Need one good reason to register your child for Success on Stage this summer? We’ve got 101, Dalmatians that is! With four camps designed to teach your child about the ins and outs of theatre, each camp will end with a production of one of four musicals: 101 Dalmatians, Disney’s Jungle Book, Disney’s Aladdin Jr., and Annie Jr.

Success on Stage has an area of interest for every child. Each participant will learn how a play is put together through the production process and explore how theatre has transformed over the years from ancient to contemporary theatre throughout the world. Even if your child does not want to perform, but still has an interest in Success On Stage, there will be opportunities to get an exclusive backstage look at a production team, all while learning about the acting process first hand throughout the rehearsals.

Courtney Jackson, Site Coordinator for Success on Stage, says that this camp will “help the students build up their self-esteem.” Jackson has had over eight years of theatre and musical experience and comments that theatre has improved her ability to work with others. Shavonne Holton, Head Counselor for Success on Stage, is a recent theatre graduate from Purdue University. Holton guarantees that Success on Stage will “transform amateurs into more professional theatre artists” by “teaching them skills that can transfer into the real world: teamwork, multi-tasking, and creative problem solving.”
