Students to Make Decisions for ESE

From Kindergarten through 5th grade, students are stepping up to make decisions for the Extended School Enrichment (ESE) program. Each school has formed a decision team that consists of two students (one male and one female) per grade; the team is called the Student Advisory Council. The teams meet throughout the course of an approximately two-month span and are responsible for collecting feedback from their fellow students. In doing so, the Student Advisory Council holds a strong voice in the decision-making process for their school’s enrichment club offerings, which is a major component of the ESE program. The Student Advisory Councils at each of the eleven schools will be comprised of new teams every eight weeks, as new students will be given the opportunity to shape their respective ESE program.
