Each and every single day at the Orchard Park Extended School Enrichment after-school program is a new and exciting one. The program offers a wide variety of clubs that change each day of the week and involve new activities as well as a new group of participants. However, there is one thing that will always remain the same. Everyday from 5:30-6:00 ESE staff and students of all ages join in the cafeteria for something called Free Choice. During Free Choice time, students are able to unwind and choose from an assortment of relaxing table activities including: cards, board games, drawing, coloring, and Legos. A couple of the OP favorites are UNO and Legos, with the all time staff and student favorite being Connect 4. If you are lucky, you might even get to challenge an ESE staff member to a game…careful, they have been practicing!

The Orchard Park Extended School Enrichment before school program is a great way for students to wake up and burn off some extra energy before heading off to class. The before school program at Orchard Park opens daily Monday-Friday at 7:00AM and breakfast is served at 7:50 shortly before the bell rings at 8:05. In the meantime, students have the opportunity to participate in a new enrichment club each day of the week, either in the gymnasium or in the LGI Room. The clubs begin at 7:15 and are as follows: Monday –String It, Tuesday - Rockin’ Roller Games, Wednesday - A Splash of Color, Thursday - Net It Up, and Friday - Funny Morning Cartoons. The Orchard Park favorite last club session was Rockin’ Roller Games, so we have decided to give it another whirl. Students who choose to participate in this club will be involved in a variety of gym activities including Roller Relays, Roller Soccer, Roller Hockey and Roller Line Tag using roller scooters to maneuver throughout the gymnasium. Students may also elect to complete homework, read, or choose from a variety of free choice activities, so there is truly something for everyone.
