Towne Meadow Elementary

New Eight Weeks at Towne Meadow

After lots of careful planning and listening to feedback from the students on what type of clubs they would like, I think that my staff and I have put together what is sure to be a spectacular and fun filled eight weeks here at Towne Meadow. I know the holidays are approaching and everyone is eager for winter break, so we decided to make our clubs as upbeat and exciting as possible to compete with the holidays.

Some of the new clubs that we are offering these eight weeks are as follows: Mondays: AM: Morning Munchies, PM: Play It Again Sports, Dot to Dot, Stack It Up, Lead the Cheer, Crafts Galore, and Jump for Joy. Tuesday: AM: Fuse Beads 2, PM: Rainy Day Club, Winter Crafts, Bump Set Spike, Hyper Dash, Say What Karaoke, Detectives. Wednesdays: AM: Dodgeball, PM: Hodge Podge Crafts, Flag Football, Bowl-r-AMA, Let’s Write a Book, Nothing But Yarn, and ASL Club. Thursday: Basketball, Rainy Day Club, Club Challenge, Elementary Games, Cooking with Class, Paint it, Gamers, and Wonders of Science. Fridays: Scooter Hockey, Dodge That, Jenga Knockdown, Tag, Reader’s Corner, Friday Fusers, and Silent Ball.

My staff and I are looking forward to a fun-filled and eventful eight weeks, and we hope your students are too.

Under the Big Top!

Lions, Tigers and Bears…Oh, My! On Friday, November 21st, Towne Meadow had our Circus themed carnival from 7-9 p.m. Parents and students alike had a blast playing games, having their faces painted, winning prizes, and even having balloon animals made by Cinnamon the Clown. It was a fun and relaxing event with hot dogs, chips, fresh made popcorn, and even strawberry-banana smoothies made to order by Mrs. Edwards. Students posed for photo ops as the flying trapeze artist and the strongman, and made a circus animal to take home with them.

The evening was a great success and the staff and I are looking forward to our next event on December 5th-Parent’s Night Out from 6-9. At this event students will stay late while their parents are free to get errands done, have dinner together, or even shop for holiday gifts.

At our event, we will be providing dinner for the children, along with cookie making, hot cocoa, and one of the best holiday movies around, The Polar Express, for their viewing pleasure. Students are welcome to wear pajamas and bring their sleeping gear from home to make the event even cozier. We are sure to have a great time, and I hope their parents will too on their night out!
