Dr. Seuss was born on March 2, 1904. In honor of this man’s life and wonderful works of fiction, we will be having a Books and Brunch Site Celebration on March 25, 2010 from 5p.m. to 7p.m.

The activities will include five booths that are set up by our staff that the students and parents can rotate through. Each booth will have a game, art project, and a snack that is inspired by their favorite Dr. Seuss book.

Students and parents are encouraged to dress up like their favorite Seuss or literary character. There will be a prize awarded to the best costume. Also there will be another contest on the most dazzling and creative socks, inspired by Seuss’s book Fox in Socks. Don’t forget to try some green eggs and ham and stop in Who-ville!

Music and More is one the most popular clubs at Towne Meadow these eight weeks. Mr. Thao and Mr. Myers lead it. In this club, students learn the fundamentals of music through hands on activities. This club is offered Mondays and Wednesdays.

At the end of every session, the students are able to sing-along with Mr. Thao and Mr. Myers as they play their guitars. A club will definitely be returning next eight weeks. So come on down and jam with us in Music and More!
