I would like to let you all know what will be happening at Towne Meadow ESE. Our first Parent Advisory Committee Meeting will be held Tuesday, September 16th from 6:00-6:30pm. There will be refreshments at this meeting, so be sure to mark your calendars!

Another event that is coming up soon is our first Early Dismissal day on September 30th. We are in the process of planning a field trip to Laser Flash for that day. Students will need to have a sack lunch if they are going to attend ESE on the Early Dismissal day. We will provide the snack for them. Stay tuned for more field trip details to come!

Another major event that will be happening at Towne Meadow in a few weeks is our first Site Celebration. This event will be a Family Game Night. We will be playing board games, Dance, Dance Revolution, bowling and other games on the Nintendo Wii and PS3. We will also have food to snack on and beverages at this event. The event will be held on Thursday, October 2nd from 5-7 p.m. I am in need of game systems for that evening; if anyone would like to donate a Wii or PS3 for the evening, it would be greatly appreciated. The systems will be monitored by my staff at all times to ensure that they are being used properly and that nothing happens to them.

We are also planning for a field trip on October 21st, the Early Dismissal day before Fall Break to a pumpkin patch. There are so many exciting things happening here at Towne Meadow!

Jim Henson, Fraggle Rock, Kermit the Frog and The Muppet Show…what do all of these things have in common? Puppets! This eight weeks, the students at Towne Meadow are learning all about the art of puppeteering. They are learning how to make their own puppets as well as how to put on their own puppet show!

Students from K-5th grade are able to work together in this club. This eight weeks we have chosen Eric Carle’s Brown Bear, Brown Bear to present as our first puppet show. The students have been working on the various characters in the book from Brown Bears to Goldfish. They will be presenting this puppet show for the entire ESE program at Towne Meadow on October 3rd at 4:30 pm. We’d love to join us!
