On Friday, April 16, the students of Woodbrook ESE once again loaded up that yellow school bus and headed out to Castleton Mall for what could have been the coolest Parent’s Night Out EVER!!! We spent the evening at Build A Bear Workshop where each and every student got to make their very own teddy bear complete with a tee shirt and birth certificate.

The bears even came with little cardboard “condos” as the staff at Build A Bear like to call them. Before we left the school to head out on this amazing adventure, we all enjoyed a super yummy Chinese buffet catered in by Panda Express! What a great night!!!

Balloons. Balloons. Balloons! Children love balloons, especially in our ESE program! One of our staff members created a club activity which includes balloons, running and tons of fun. Each week, students who choose this activity will participate in balloon competitions. One week they had to race to the end of the gym with their partner holding a balloon between their heads! This was not easy. They had to use teamwork and great strategy to get from one end of the gym to the other without dropping the balloon that was sandwiched between their heads! This club is a blast....what a great way to end the school year!

Parents, are you ready for our AWESOME SUMMER CAMP SERIES this year!?! There will be lots of exciting camp activities offered this year. Summer camps are still filling up. If you have not made plans for your kiddos this summer, now is the time!

Thursday, May 27 will be an early dismissal day as well as the last day of school. We are going to Forest Dale Elementary for a fun filled day of outdoor activities. Please look on the Parent Table for more details.
