West Park

April 21-May 9 -- The West Park restrooms are going through improvements which will include all new plumbing fixtures, partitions, hand dryers, and interior painting. During this time, the permanent restrooms will remain closed. There will be portable restrooms available.

  • Sledding Hill - The sled hill in West Park is open during regular park hours (30 minutes before sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset). Please sled down the north face of the hill.
  • Trail (2.5 mile)
  • Water feature/spray park (interactive, farm-themed) - Open daily, Dusk until dawn, Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
  • Wetland pond and boardwalk (5 acres); boating prohibited
  • Fishing
    • Fishing is permitted at West Park with an appropriate license; all state regulations apply

    • West Park is part of the DNR's urban fishing program called Go FishIN in the City. Check out the site for more information on the program, including future stocking times and special fishing opportunities.
