Camp FIRE has an emphasis on fresh air and active play. A Few Spots Remain

Summer Camp Series

We understand that safe, high-quality summer camp programming for your child is more than a luxury; it is essential to your family. The health + safety of our campers and staff is our top priority. In order to keep everyone safe this summer, we have determined that we cannot offer our camps as they were originally developed. Instead, we will offer modified camps running for nine weeks, every weekday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in various facilities around Carmel, for ages 5 to 12. All camps will be programmed for general camper interests with an emphasis on fresh air and active play.

A Few Openings Remain

We are excited to share that we have a few remaining spots open for our Camp FIRE Summer Camp! Camp FIRE is all about fun, innovation, responsibility and education.

While not every week is available, several weeks have spots open. Things to note:

  • Camp FIRE has availability at three locations: Jill Perelman Pavilion at West Park, Wilfong Pavilion at Founders Park and the Monon Community Center.
  • Campers are only allowed to enroll in ONE location (i.e. you cannot register your camper for week 1 at the MCC and week 2 at Jill Perelman).
  • We understand that this is a unique time and want to assure you that health and safety for all participants and staff members is our top priority.
  • This camp will include activities for general camper interests with an emphasis on fresh air and active play.

Previously Enrolled Families

All interested families who took our survey in late April have been enrolled or are on the waiting list for our reimagined summer camp program, Camp FIRE.  Families should have received a confirmation receipt indicating active and/or waiting list enrollments as well as a follow-up email from Jennifer Brown, Director, ESE & Summer Camps.  Families who were not enrolled but are interested in Camp FIRE can contact Jackie Lazdins at jlazdins@carmelclayparks.com.  Additionally, any questions or concerns regarding full-day summer camp offerings can be directed to Jackie Lazdins.
