CCPR to Host Volunteer Open House

Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation to Host Volunteer Open House

Community invited to explore opportunities

April 16, 2021 (Carmel, Ind.) — Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation invites the community to attend its first Volunteer Open House on Saturday, April 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Monon Community Center.

CCPR offers a variety of opportunities for volunteers to serve on a regular schedule or on special occasions throughout the year.

Volunteers opportunities include our park stewardship initiatives, recreation programs, and Extended School Enrichment, our before- and after-school program. Representatives from each area will be at the event.

“Our volunteers are an integral part of the work we do. Last year alone our volunteers donated over 1,300 hours of their time,” said Lana Ramer, CCPR volunteer coordinator. “The Volunteer Open House is a great opportunity for the prospective volunteers to learn more about what we offer and how they can have a hand in it. It’s also a way for current volunteers to explore additional opportunities.”
