Parks Beautification Month

Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation to Host Parks Beautification Month

Carmel, Ind. (March 29, 2024) –  Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation (CCPR) will host Parks Beautification Month in April to engage the community in a series of fun, educational park restoration volunteer projects. The month kicks off with a Weed Wrangle on Saturday, April 6, and finishes with a tree planting in honor of Arbor Day on Friday, April 26.

“Parks Beautification Month is a time when we show appreciation to our environment and our community by working together to support our parks,” said Abby Wallace, CCPR Volunteer Coordinator. “We are hosting several volunteer events focused on improving our parks by picking up trash, removing invasive plant species, and planting trees. We look forward to working with our community and encouraging park stewardship.”

Community members of all ages are invited to participate in Parks Beautification Month activities. Volunteers ages 16 or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required for each project. Click here to create your CCPR volunteer account.
