Making the Modification
Reasonable modifications are individualized techniques and resources used to enhance program participation without fundamentally altering a program. Modifications allow children with many different ability levels the opportunity to safely and successfully enjoy our programs. Modifications are put in place once an individual assessment has been conducted to determine what supports are best suited for that specific child. Some common modifications found in our ESE programs are: additional transition reminders and prompts, earned breaks, built in sensory breaks, flexible seating, and visual schedules and charts.
